Arbok was introduced in Generation 1 with a pure Poison typing. Known as the Cobra Pokémon, it's a snake-like Pokémon with a purple body and a face-like marking on its hood.

Arbok is kobra backwards, a misspelling of cobra, in reference to it looking like a cobra.
