Tinkaton was introduced in Generation 9 with a Fairy/Steel typing. Known as the Hammer Pokémon, Tinkaton is a small pink bipedal Pokémon with long light pinkish-creme hair. She also holds a giant purple and grey hammer.

Its name could be a portmanteau of tinker, which was a person who made a living by travelling from place to place mending pans and other metal utensils, and "ton" or "gigaton" in reference to its signature move, Gigaton Hammer.
